Audi To Hire 2,100 Workers In Hungary

German luxury carmaker Audi has announced that it would hire 2,100 workers in Hungary as part of its plans to expand production in its Hungarian plant. This plant is Audi fourth plant in Europe.
Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler said the company decided to hire more workers as a response to market conditions.

Audi will be adding a press shop at the Hungarian plant. This will mean it will have to hire 300 more workers than it previously had planned said Mr Stadler. He added: “The press shop ... will complete the full production cycle in our plant in Gyor."

Audi AG which is the luxury carmaker owned by Volkswagen AG said it intended to build 125,000 vehicles at its plant in Gyor, Hungary once the plant's production is increased to full capacity by 2013. Mr Stadler did not specify which Audi cars will be built in Gyor.
