Audi Q3 Launch In India Confirmed

The Audi Q3 compact luxury SUV is all set to enter India. The recently launched SUV from Audi will be competing with the BMW X1. Audi is the biggest seller of luxury SUVs in India and wants to continue its dominance with its Q3. Peter Schwarzenbauer, the head of marketing and sales at Audi AG has confirmed the launch of the Audi Q3 in India.

Audi decided to launch the Q3 after observing the success of BMW X1 compact luxury SUV in the Indian market. The Audi Q3 is a compact SUV like the BMW X1 and Audi promises it will have the same zip and peppiness of the Q5. Audi officials has confirmed the launch of Q3 in India by next year. The Launch is most likely to happen during the Auto Expo 2012, however, there is no official confirmation on that part.

The BMW X1 certainly did not have much competition in its segment so far and the Audi Q3 will be a tough one to start with. BMW X1 has already been a sales success in the Indian market. Now Audi will be trying to emulate the same with the Q3 and topple the BMW X1 from the top. The Audi Q3 is expected to be priced close to Rs.25 lakhs and will pose serious competition to even the Toyota Fortuner, Honda CRV, Hyundai Santa Fe compact SUVs along with the X1.
