Audi Will Soon Rule The Indian Market!

Audi, the German luxury car-maker expects the cars demand in India to grow by more than three million by the year 2014. It is because the demand of the growing middle-class for individual mobility keeps on rising.

Audi said that around 14 million Indians own a car. In the year 2010, two million cars were sold and this number is expected to grow to more than three million in the year 2014.

As per the forecast by the United Nations, the company said that population and traffic volumes are growing at a particularly rapid pace in China and India. In Mumbai that had 20 million residents in the past year, the number of residents will grow to almost 26 million by the year 2025.

Also, for individual mobility, the demand of the growing middle-class keeps on growing.

Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG Rupert Stadler said that because of these developments that the company faced with a completely new challenge where sustainable individual mobility is concerned.

He added that the company is projecting its brand values into tomorrow's world. Further, with models like the Q5 hybrid quattro and the e-tron family, the company solutions for future forms of individual mobility are electrifying people.

In 2010, the company produced 1,150,018 cars and 1,648,193 engines as against 932,260 cars and 1,384,240 engines in previous year.
