Audi India To Hire 600 Workers
Michael Perschke, the Audi India chief has said this recruitment drive was part of an aggressive expansion plan that aims at making Audi the No1 premium car maker in India. He also said Audi was expanding its dealerships in Tier II cities and had already opened 13 new showrooms.
Mr Perschke said Audi's hiring plans would cover production, showrooms and corporate sectors. He added the plan was to increase the workforce by 100 percent within the next two years. Audi India is on a product expansion as well. It recently launched the latest generation A6 luxury sedan and is set to launch the new Q3 Premium SUV.
Audi is also keen to increase its global workforce by 10,000. It currently employs 60,000 workers and expects the number to grow to 70,000 by the end of this decade.
