Audi Gaining Popularity Among Indian Women
A report from Business Line indicated that women have expressed their fantasy to Audi, particularly Audi TT. The report cited the ownership of Audi R8 among women in Bollywood like Katrina Kaif. The Head for Audi India expressed his wonder over women purchasing the Audi SUV version more to add luxury drive.
Audi has posted an increased sale of 50% in 2010 with 3000 units of assorted versions of the company, thanks to audi fame among women. He said the company had not witnessed any change in its business volume despite devastating changes in the economy and the interest rates in the country. He was confident that the company would repeat the last year"s volume by offering new models like R8 V10, A7 and A6 and one more during the Q4 of this fiscal. He assured that the car lovers in India would feel excited with the models from the company this year.
The target for 2011 is 150 R8 (which costs Rs1.3 crore) and this comes on the promising sale volume globally- 1.2 million units-
