Nissan Releases Official Sunny Images On Facebook

Nissan Sunny
Nissan Motors, the Japanese carmaker has released two new images of the Sunny sedan. The Sunny whose production began yesterday at Nissan's production plant in Oragadam near Chennai is the carmaker's second car to be built completely in India.

Nissan had unveiled the Sunny earlier last month. It is built on the same platform on which the carmaker builds its Nissan small car. The Sunny will be available with the same engine options as that of the Micra. It is expected to be available at Nissan showrooms within a month's time.

There is a distinct similarity between the Sunny's frontal design with that of the Teana, Nissan's premium sedan that is being imported as a completely built unit from Japan. The Sunny is a mid-size sedan that is expected to take on other sedans such as the Swift DZire, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and the new Hyundai Verna.

In a surprising move Nissan has decided to launch the Sunny initially with just the petrol engine and then launch the diesel variant. We do not understand the logic behind the move considering the huge demand for diesel cars.

We are looking forward to see the Nissan Sunny on our roads to give you a better idea of the latest sedan to enter the Indian car market. We will be updating more updates on the Sunny as and when it happens.
