Bangalore Auto Expo Disappoints Auto Fans

Bangalore Auto Expo
The Times Bangalore Auto Expo has just concluded after being open for four days. The Oneindia auto team visited the car show on Saturday and had a thorough look at all displayed vehicles. Most of the participants were the local car dealers. While there were some new cars on display, we were disappointed by the lack of participation from several major car and mike manufacturers.

Tata Motors was one of the biggest absentee in the auto expo. We were hoping to have a closer look at the recently launched new Tata Vista and were left empty handed. Among bike manufacturers, Hero, TVS and Bajaj, the three biggest sellers in India were not present. Honda, BMW and Yamaha were the only companies present.

The show being a local event, one did not expect too many new vehicles to be on show. But While last year's event's star display was the Chevrolet Camaro which gained fame through its presence in the Transformers movie franchise, this year saw the new Nissan 370Z on show.

Among the carmakers that did make their presence felt were Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Mahindra, Nissan, Chevrolet, Skoda, Maruti Suzuki and Volkswagen. The new Swift was surrounded by several interested buyers. The new Jazz also attracted several visitors.

The Bangalore Auto Expo is an annual event that has been promising lot but delivering little for auto enthusiasts.
