Rain Delays Mahindra XUV 500 Launch

Persistent Rains In Pune have delayed the Launch of the Mahindra XUV 500 by 30 minutes. The unveiling ceremony that was to begin by 7:45 PM has not started yet. Organizers of the launch have said the unveiling has been delayed by 30 minutes. Several Media representative have arrived at Mahindra's Pune facility to watch the unveiling of the Mahindra XUV 500

The Mahindra XUV has had a huge following since its development. The anticipation around its launch has reached the tip and nature seems to be prolonging the anticipation just a little. The XUV 500 was a much discussed topic in the internet even before it got its name. It was previously referred as the Mahindra Global SUV.

The XUV 500 is Mahindra's first SUV to be built on the recently developed global SUV platform. Mahindra has said it would follow the XUV 500 with more variants possibly also in the international markets.

The soon to be unveiled SUV is expected to carry some of the design philosophy of Mahindra's Korean subsidiary Ssangyong. It could only be a guess as Mahindra started developing its Global SUV much before it acquired Ssangyong. But reports have said engineers from Korea did help in tuning the XUV 500.
