Mahindra Unveils The Cheetah Like XUV 500

Mahindra has unveiled the XUV 500 Global SUV despite a short delay due to rain. The new SUV has been a result of a labour of love for several Mahindra and Mahindra engineers.

Mahindra in its presentation has said the XUV 500 is a thing of beauty, sporty and a lifestyle car. The design philosophy of the XUV 500 is inspired by the look of a cheetah sitting on its haunches ready to pounce.

Anand Mahindra: “XUV 500 is not just a car. It will become a cult vehicle. Design similar to that of a cheetah standing on its haunch ready to pounce. I expect the XUV 500 to become a cult vehicle too."

Mahindra and Mahindra chief Pawan Goenka while speaking at the occasion said: “ Today is dedicated just to unveil our XUV 500. More details about the price and technical details will be made available tomorrow. We have two contests exclusively for the media today. The first one is about the price. Five correct respondents will be given tickets to the Indian Formula One grand Prix tickets."

“The second contest is a little more difficult but unfortunately the price is still the same. You will have to list five new features in the XUV 500 that we have introduced for the first time."

The XUV 500 has remained very much true to its promise of being a powerful yet beautiful SUV with sleek lines and imposing stature. The exterior design has very meticulous details. The interior is by any standard top notch and certainly indicates the XUV 500 will be a premium model competing close to the heels of even imported SUVs.
