Will Hyundai Launch Tucson And New i20 Soon?

The i20 has been Hyundai's most successful sub compact hatchback and is considered to be a competent competitor of the Maruti Suzuki Swift. It has been facing increased competition after the arrival of the Jazz, Figo and the Polo. Hyundai has now decided to add the Fluidic design concept to the i20 too. This facelift is expected to make the i20 look better with improved aerodynamics.
The other model that might be launch by Hyundai in 2012 is the ix35. The ix35 is a five seater SUV that is already being sold in Europe, Korea and the USA. However it is expected to be branded as the Tucson in India. It also carries the Fluidic design concept. This new Tucson has already been sighted with a lot of camouflage.
The old Tucson did not manage to be a sales success and the new model is expected to offer several new features to be attractive to car buyers. Some of the expected highlights of the new Hyundai Tucson/is35 will be a fully adjustable steering wheel, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, key less entry, push button engine start and air conditioning along with cooled glove box
The new Hy7undai Tucson will be initially imported as a CBU and if sales increase, local production can be started. It will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The ix35 being sold in Europe comes with a 2-litre MPFI petrol engine and a 2-litre CRDI diesel engine. The new Tucson is expected to be priced between Rs.10 Lakhs and Rs.15 lakhs making it a direct competitor of cars such as the Mahindra XUV 500 and the Tata Aria.
