Honda To Destroy 1400 City Sedans And Brio

Honda Thai Floods
Honda, the Japanese carmaker has suffered huge losses in India as well as in other international markets due to the severe floods in Thailand. But here is another news that will push Honda's further up. As if suffering production losses for months was not enough, Honda is now being forced to destroy hundreds of cars it had built in Thailand

According to Honda's announcement, it will be destroying 1,400 cars which will include the new City sedan as well as the recently launched Brio hatchback. These cars were completely built and were parked outside the plant in Ayutthaya, Thailand before the floods struck and completely submerged them.

There were speculations that Honda was planning to send these cars back to the production plant where they would be repaired and refitted. There were fears across the globe that these cars would not be safe and there might be several faulty parts in them. To ally these fears and considering the safety issues that might arise out of such severely damaged cars, Honda has decided to destroy them.

Several buyers of Honda cars have expressed their relief at Honda's decision. Honda has stated that it will destroy these 1,400 cars in an eco friendly manner and will save the undamaged parts for future use.
