Skoda India Launches Online Booking Of Rapid
Skoda India is very optimistic about the Rapid's sales performance. Skoda India boss Thomas Kuehl while speaking about the Rapid's online booking said the carmaker had already received 18 bookings in the first day of its launch. He is expecting more bookings to turn up in the coming days. He expects the Rapid to take up half of Skoda's total sales in India.
The Skoda Rapid will possibly be Skoda's bets selling car in India next year according to Mr Kuehl. The Rapid will attract both the enthusiast as well as the family car buyer as it has power as well as space. Its diesel engines are powerful and yet they sip fuel. The ride and handling has been tuned to suit Indian road conditions.
Skoda India is expecting to sell 2,000 units per month despite car sales slowing down owing to increased fuel prices and interest rates. It is planning to increase its number its showrooms to 100 in India and is hoping its line-up of brilliant cars such as the Skoda Superb, Skoda Laura, Skoda Fabia and the Yeti will help it make a mark for itself.
