Have A Look At The World's Most Expensive Car!

This is the 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa race car that had participated in the legendary Le Mans 24-hour race. This is one of the rarest race cars in the world and its racing pedegree has added to its value. Classic car auctioneer Gooding & Co recently sold this car for $16.4 million in Pebble Beach, USA.
The car is powered by a a 3.0-liter V-12 engine capable of churning out 300-horsepower mated to a four-speed manual transmission.
Ferrari's racing cars have always been received well at classic car auctions. The Testa Rossa Ferraris, or race track tuned cars enjoy an even greater demand. Some of these models have emerged as the most expensive cars sold in classic car auctions in the past decade. However no car has been able to gain such a price as this 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa.
This particular car is no clean machine. It was invlolved in a crash with a Jaguar at the 1958 Le Mans. It later caught fire. Ferrari restored it to its original look and sold it to an American. This owner had set fire to the car in a bid to get insurance payment in the 1960s. Following which the Ferrari Testa Rossa has been painstakingly restored to its current pristine condition.
