Jaguar Land Rover To Open New Showrooms

British Luxury car brands Jaguar and Land Rover owned by Tata Motors, intend to spread their presence in India and will start it by opening more showrooms in Metropolitan as well as Tier II cities. As a first step towards increasing its presence, JLR has revealed that it will soon open a new showroom in Pune.

The new JLR showroom in Pune will be close to BMW's showroom posing a credible challenge to the German premium brand. The JLR showroom will have space for 12 cars each of both Jaguar and Land Rover models.

Mumbai-based Asset Group which already has several other car dealerships in the Mumbai-Pune region has bagged this dealership. The company has declined to comment much about the new showroom as JLR is yet to authorise to speak to the press.

Puneites have said the base prize of Jaguar Land Rover models starting from Rs.55 lakhs is was within their reach and expressed hope that they will see more Jaguars and Land Rovers on Pune's roads. JLR will also be an alternative to Germn premium brands Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

JLR which has a showroom in Mumbai has said the Pune showroom will cater to the rest of Maharastra. Pune is home to several high profile personalities and JLR's showroom will be initially targeting them.
