Ratan Tata Delivers Nano Car Keys To Buyers

Tata Motors' passenger car division is under severe pressure in the recent months with sales of the Indica, Indigo and Nano declining quickly. The Indian carmaker has to sell a minimum of 10,000 Nanos per month to recover costs. But monthly sales of the Nano has crossed this figure only once in the past twelve months.
Tata Motors is now planning to open new showrooms specifically for the Nano to drive sales. In an effort to add a personal effect on car sales Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata decided to hand over keys of the Nano to its buyers during a recent visit to Patna.
Mr Tata had visited Patna to interact with dealers and give them a pep talk. Following his interaction with the dealers, Mr Tata went on to speak to buyers of the Nano and himself presented them the keys of the new car. The dealers have said they were highly encouraged by Mr Tata's interaction and have promised to boost the Nano's sales.
Mr Tata also reviewed the performance of other Tata models too. Reports say Mr Tata told dealers that he would extend all possible marketing support to help them increase sales.
