2012 Tata Nano Launched With New Colours, Features

Tata Motors has worked on making improvements to the Nano and the feature list is sufficient proof. The AC is more efficient and powerful. The engine as we mentioned earlier is also more powerful and yet more fuel efficient. The new Nano's mileage of Rs.25.4kmpl (which was earlier 23.6kmpl) will make it India's most fuel efficient petrol car in India. The engine can now generate 38PS from the previous 35PS and torque figures have increased from 48Nm to 51Nm.
The new Nano is also the car with the lowest CO2 emissions in Indian cars at 92.7g/km. The performance aspect of the Nano has also been improved with the top speed increasing to 105kmph. The ride and handling of the Nano gets a fillip due to the use of a revised suspension set up which comes with an anti-roll bar in the front.
The driving comfort of the Nano has also been improved thanks to an improvement in the steering mechanism. The cabin will also be quieter but the Nano will have a racier exhaust note. On the safety front Tata Motors has added booster assisted brakes to the entry level version too., These brakes were earlier available only in the CX and LX variants.
Speaking about the launch of the 2012 Tata Nano, Tata Motors Managing Director – India Operations said: “Tata Nano owners, over 90% of whom are highly satisfied with their choice, have given us valuable insights on what more can be done. We have introduced some of these ideas. We will continue to add features, as has been our tradition across our product portfolio."
The paint options has increased to 10 colours, eight of them new -- Pearl White, Rouge Red, Aqua Blue, Neon Rush, Serene White, Meteor Silver, Mojito Green, Papaya Orange, Sunshine Yellow, and Champagne Gold. Click here to see the full bouquet of new colours of the Nano.
