Mahindra To Introduce Ssangyong Korando & Concept

The Ssangyong SUV has been code named as the Concept XUV1 and has been developed from the ground up. The completely new concept appears to be similar to the Range Rover Evoque. One of the clincher for this comparison is the floating roof that inclines slightly in the rear.
Another reason why we believe the XUV1 is similar to the Evoque is its flexible seating. The Evoque has a flexible seating configuration that will help load it with large quantities of luggage when necessary. Ssangyong has provided the XUV1 with a 1+1+2 or 1+3 seating layouts. This design is certainly not in sync with conventional seating configurations.
The Ssangyong XUV1 will be marketed as a premium B segment SUV. We expect the new model will be equipped with modern gadgets such as touch screens, bluetooth while being fitted with luxury seating. Although the concept will have several luxury features, we do not expect the final product to have everything as standard. The XUV1 is just an example to show the capabilities of Ssangyong.
Ssangyong is said to be working on Mahindra's Global SUV too. It remains to be seen if Ssangyong's experience of selling SUV's in the European markets help Mahindra make a substantial product that will satisfy the demands of the international car markets.
