New 2012 Honda CRV Specs Revealed!

The technical details or specifications of the new 2012 Honda CRV have been a closely guarded secret but not any more. Honda appears to have silently leaked the engine specifications of the new CRV just to keep the interest in the new crossover going.
According to reports the new 2012 CRV will be available with a choice of two differently tuned petrol engines. The first one will be a 2.4 litre engine and a more powerful 2.6-litre version. Both engines will be equipped by Honda's i-VTEC valve timing technology. This will be boost power and fuel economy of the new CRV.
The 2.4-litre petrol engine is expected to deliver 175bhp and 230Nm of torque while the higher powered engine will deliver 201bhp and 240Nm of torque. The entry level model actually delivers lesser power than the current model. A diesel engine with a common rail, turbo diesel engine at a later date.
Honda will equip the new 2012 CRV with the same five-speed automatic gearbox. The car will hit the European markets in 2012 and at a later date herein India. We expect the diesel variant of the new CRV to be launched along with the petrol variant in 2013.
