Maruti Asks 350 Trainees To Rejoin Work

In a statement, MSI said: “The company has also communicated with all the 350 technician trainees, asking them to resume duties at Manesar plant in the next three days." The added workforce will help restore production to an agreeable level at Manesar.
The strike at Manesar does no appear to end even after more than 22 days as the talks between Haryana government officials and Maruti Suzuki workers failed. The company said it was looking at other communication channels to continue talks. It baled the shifting positions of workers for the failed talks brokered by the government.
It added: "With the talks having failed, the company management is now communicating with workers through various channels. It will encourage workers to sign the Good Conduct Bond, and resume duties without any fear or apprehension and work towards restoring normalcy."However, it has not specified the nature of channel through which it would be communicating with the workers.
The company is still hopeful that the impasse will end soon. It believes most of the striking workers are sincere and hard working but are being misled by few people. Production at Manesar is slowly improving. The company said it has built 600 Swifts on Monday increasing hopes of reducing the newly launched hatchback's waiting period.
The strike at Manesar began after Maruti Suzuki asked its workers to sign a good conduct bond on August 29th.
