Indian Cricketers' Love For Cars – Dhoni's Hummer

The Indian cricket team is a bunch of talented players who have shown exceptional skills on the playing field, albeit not so well on the recent English tour. There is another factor that can be found very common among these cricketers and it is their love for cars and bikes. Here is a look at some of our cricket icons and their mean machines.

Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an avid bike lover. He owns several motorcycles and cars at his home town of Ranchi. Dhoni has been seen cruising around the roads of Chennai. It is a little difficult for him to ride his bikes considering his popularity but Dhoni does manage to take a ride on his Harley Davidson whenever he is in Ranchi. Dhoni also owns other bikes such as the Yamaha XS650 and a Kawasaki Ninja .

One of Dhoni's most priced possessions is a Hummer H2. The Hummer is a huge machine that has a dominating road presence much like the Indian cricket captain. The H2 is priced at Rs. 1 crore and Dhoni bought it in 2009. It is unfortunate that the H2 is no longer being built after the Hummer brand was closed down by General Motors. The H2 offers powerful performance and an ability to traverse across any kind of terrain.

The other cars owned by Dhoni are a custom built Mahindra Scorpio, a Toyota Corolla and a Mitsubishi Pajero. The Scorpio has a soft top roof and has been gifted to Dhoni by the Mahindra Group.
