Carmakers Increase Freebies To Attract Sales

Carmakers are now offering several freebies and discounts to clear inventories. Even high selling cars are also being offered with free accessories or free insurance and in some cases both. Even dealers are also offering their own innovative schemes to push up sales.
Newspapers are now awash with several advertisements offering cash discounts, lowered interest rates, accessories, insurance, warranty for two or three years all for free. Carmakers and dealers are hoping these advertisements will increase footfalls and inquiries which will then translate in to sales.
Car makers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen are already offering some cars at discounted rates or with low interest rates. Volkswagen is offering free accessories for its Vento and Polo models through its Breeze variants.
Industry expect expect these freebies to increase even further as the Dassara and Diwali festivals approach. Car buyers can actually take advantage of these offers if they wait a little longer. With petrol prices going for the 12th time in two years and interest rates going up again, carmakers and dealers are fearing the worst and are under pressure to push sales by any means possible.
