New Hyundai Eon 800 More Details Emerge

The Hyundai Eon's fuel economy is set at 21.1kmpl. The Alto competitor from Hyundai will offer a stiff competition to India's best selling car model mostly due to its long list of features. Hyundai is very confident about the Eon. A senior Hyundai India official whgile speaking about the Eon said there was no car that could match it. He also said despite the Eon being an entry level car, the carmaker had not made any compromise.
Hyundai also confident that the Eon will not dent the sales of the Santro which is priced at Rs.2.8 lakhs for the entry level version. The Eon is being test driven in Korea and reports say the mileage achieved has been about 21.1kmpl on regular test conditions. This mill mean the Eon's mileage will be somewhere close to 18-18kmpl on regular conditions.
The Hyundai Eon is being aimed at first time car buyers, the same target target audience of other small cars such as the Maruti Suzuki Alto and the Tata Nano. While the Alto is India's highest selling model, the Nano appears to be struggling to improve sales. The Eon, Hyundai hopes will help it push Hyundai's market share closer to that of Maruti Suzuki.
