Hyundai Eon Proves To Be A Sales Success In Oct

However if current sales are considered Hyundai can expect to sell at least 12,000 units per month which is on par with Hyundai's target of selling 140,000 Eons per year. The Eon has been developed particularly to create space for Hyundai in India's rural car market. The Eon's price which is below Rs.3 lakhs is one of its trump cards.
The Eon has also caused some discomfort in Hyundai this October. Several buyers of the Santro decided to opt for the new car. The Santro's sales have fallen to 3,141 units from more than 6,000 units a month. Hyundai was hoping there would be no cannibalism of sales considering the Eon and Santro's close price.
The Eon will be posing a serious challenge to the Alto as well as other small cars such as the Chevrolet Spark. Hyundai is confident this new small car will deliver on its promise. The Korean carmaker is making the eon more interesting for the buyer by adding a LPG dual fuel engine to its line-up. The LPG powered Eon could be launched as early as January next year.
The Eon's sales in November will be an interesting read as we will be able to asses its sales for one whole month. If the hype around its launch has had an effect In its October sales will be known once November sales become clear.
