Force One SUV Launched at Rs.10.65 lakhs

Force Motors, the Indian utility vehicle manufacturer, has finally launched its first passenger car - the Force One SUV in Mumbai. The new car was formally unveiled by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bhachchan. The Force One will be priced at Rs.10.65 lakhs. Force Motors has already enlisted 22 new dealers across the country who will sell the new SUV. Force Motors is aiming to sell 4,000 units of the Force One per year.

The Force One SUV will be powered by a 2.2-litre common rail turbo engine derived from Mercedes-Benz. The engine is paired with a manual five speed gear box. Force Motors is said to have used several auto parts imported from Korea and China. The Force One has also been tuned by Lotus, the British sports carmaker.

The Force One SUV is a result of Force Motors making an investment of Rs800 crores. Force One will enter the Indian SUV segment that is dominated by the Ford Endeavour, Tata Aria, Skoda Yeti. The Force One costs higher than the Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Safari. The utility vehicle manufacturer has stressed, the new car will be a premium SUV and it was not interested in making small cars and sedans.

Although Force Motors has unveiled the four wheel drive version the Force One, the car will be available from next year. It also said that it will be followed by the ABS version. Click on NEXT to see the technical specifications and features of the new Force One.
