BMW Launches New 6-Series Coupe at 74.99 Lakhs
The new 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe will be available in two variant named as the 650i and the 640d. This means both petrol and diesel engines will be available as in the 6-Series convertible. The 650d coupe is priced at Rs.74.99 lakhs while the top end 650i coupe is priced at Rs.84.99 lakhs. To add more zing to the coupe, BMW has said the new car will also be available with a 'M Sport' package that will make the car more sporty.
BMW had launched the convertible versions of the 6-Series in India in March itself. We do not know why the German carmaker delayed the launch of the coupe until October. One possible reason could be the convertibles are close to Rs.10 lakhs more expensive than the coupe. The 650i Convertible is priced at Rs.95 lakhs.
BMW has said the 6-Series convertible will be available in a wide array of colours such as Alpine White and Imola Red are non-metallic colors and in the following as metallic paintwork – Titanium Silver, Black Sapphire, Havanna, Space Grey, Deep Sea Blue, Mineral White, Vermilion Red, Orion Silver. This is by far the widest colour options available for a BMW in India.
Despite the 6-Series Coupe being slightly cheaper than the convertible you can make it more expensive by choosing optional extras that cost as much as Rs.20 lakhs. Adding the road tax that varies across Indian states, do not be surprised if you have to pay more than Rs.1 Crore for the 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe.
