Hyundai Planning Eon Exports To Nepal

Hyundai Eon
The Hyundai Eon appears to have some international fans within a month after its launch. Reports say the Hyundai Eon is set to be exported to Nepal early next year. The latest small car from Hyundai will be launched in January with sales beginning soon after. The carmaker has already identifies a certified importer for the Eon.

Laxmi Intercontinental will be the official importer of the Eon. The Eon, considered to be an inexpensive car in India will not be the same in Nepal. The high import taxes make the Eon very expensive. The Eon will cost approximately Rs.9 lakhs in Nepal. In fact if you convert its price to the Nepalese currency, the Eon's price is a mind numbing 14 lakh Nepalese Rupees.

The eon will continue its competition with the Maruti Suzuki Alto even in in Nepal as Maruti is also the market leader like in India. The Eon will also be marketed at people looking for their first car. It will be Hyundai's cheapest car, at least in Nepal. The Santro Xing is sold in Nepal with a price tag of Rs.17 lakhs.

Reports say Hyundai will be exporting just three variants of the Eon. There are six variants of the Eon and the entry level variants will be sold in Nepal.
