Force One Technical Specifications
One of the highlights of the Force One SUV will be its diesel engine derived from German carmaker Daimler. The same engine has also been used in the Mercedes-Benz C220 cdi. Force has said the One will will be a premium SUV that will be priced above the Rs.10 lakh mark between Rs.11 and 14 lakhs.
The Force One SUV is powered by a 2.2 litre Mercedes-Benz CRDi diesel engine capable of generating 140bhp at 3800rpm and 315Nm of torque at 1600rpm. The engine will be paired with a manual gearbox supplied by Daimler.
Another highlight of the One SUV will be its handling and suspension that has been specially fine tuned by UK based carmaker Lotus. Lotus has always been renowned for building sports cars that offer the best handling and suspension that is unmatched by even premium sports car makers such as Porsche and Ferrari. Lotus has also worked on the Tata Aria crossover and the Mahindra Scorpio.
The Force One's front suspension has an independent double wishbone and a coil spring with gas-charged telescopic shock absorbers, as well as an anti-roll bar. Its rear suspension comprises of a multi-link with pan hard rod & coil spring with gas-charged telescopic shock absorbers as well as an anti-roll bar.
