Oil Companies To Hike Petrol Prices Again by 62ps

Petrol Price
The Oil companies are at it again. They are planning to hike petrol praises by 60 paise effective from Friday. There are reports that these oil companies are waiting for political approval before announcing the price hike.

Petro companies have stated the steep fall in the value of the rupee had made buying crude oil very expensive. Although the cost of crude oil has remained constant in recent days, the drop in value of the rupee means the companies need to pay more rupees to buy crude. While a 60 paise hike in petrol praise might seem small, it is the 13th hike in as many months.

Vehicle users should brace themselves for a steeper hike in petrol price as the oil companies are yet to ascertain the exact hike. Once they get approval from the central government, they will announce a change in price.

Since we already know the price will be hiked on Friday, we still have a day with us to fill your fuel tanks before shelling out more money for fuel. Car users are slightly lucky as they have a bigger fuel tank to fill petrol at lower prices. Motorcycle users on the other hand can only fill up to ten litres saving Rs.6 per tank.
