Suzuki Unveils Swift Sport In Frankfurt

Suzuki Swift Sport
Suzuki Motors has unveiled the two door Swift Sport at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new variant of the Swift is a sportier version of India's favourite hatchback. The 2012 Swift Sport will be sold in the UK from next year Suzuki used to sell the previous Swift Sport only in Europe and Japan.

The new Swift Sport gets several new features such as big finned fog lamp bezels, high-intensity discharge headlamps with a metallic grey coating, 17-inch lightweight wheels and a big, mean grille. Suzuki has also worked on improving the aerodynamics and has designed parts exclusively to control air flow.

The Swift Sports also gets sports seats that have been created with a fabric exclusively developed for the Sport. The Sport has enthralled its European fans not just by looks but also through its performance. The engine has been tuned to deliver a whopping 134bhp and 118lb ft of torque. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a six speed manual gear box. The gear box offers light and effortless gear shifts.

Handling of the Swift Sport has been enhanced by larger rear wheel bearings. You can confidently hurl the Swift Sport through corners as Suzuki has also enhanced the car's safety features with ABS, EBD and traction control.

The Swift Sport despite its power and performance is now more cleaner than its previous version. Suzuki Motor has said the emissions of the Swift Sport was 147g/km from the previous 165g/km. Further fuel economy has also improved to 44.1 mpg (18.75kmpl) from the previous 39.8mpg (16.9kmpl).

Our complaint about the Swift Sport is only one – Suzuki has not yet revealed if it will be launched here in India.
