VW Set To Gift Phaeton To Gauri Khan For Ra.One
Car brands have been in to celebrity endorsements since several years. But they are now taking to a new level by having their cars in significant scenes of movies. Volkswagen which is slowly gaining sales in India thanks to its Polo and Vento is aiming to increase its visibility through Ra.One.
Reports say the German carmaker will gift a Phaeton to Gauri Khan at a grand party. The event marks the announcement of Volkswagen's association with Ra.One. Ra.One is a much anticipated super hero flick with Shahrukh in the lead. Shahrukh himself is the brand ambassador of Hyundai motors and we wonder if the Ra.One deal will lead to a clash of interest. We may also see some Hyundai cars in the film too.
Bollywood reports say the car Shahrukh has actually driven is a Bugatti Veyron. The Bugatti is by far the fastest production car in the world and the Bollywood star has reportedly received special training to drive in for the film.
The VW Phaeton is the German carmaker's most luxurious model. Available with an on road price of Rs.32 lakhs the Phaeton has been developed to deliver top notch performance and handling. Volkswagen has added several features that you will usually find in cars that priced well above Rs.50 lakhs.
