Suzuki Launches Intruder M800 Cruise Bike At 8.8L
The Suzuki Intruder is not a new name for India as the two wheeler manufacturer has been selling the powerful Intruder M1800. The M1800 has not been able to become a huge hit due to its high price tag of about Rs.15.5 lakhs. However the new motorcycle will offer a cheaper alternative as it is priced just over half the price of the Intruder M1800.
Coming to the technical details of the Intruder M800, it is powered by a liquid cooled 805cc 8-valve V-Twin engine. There has been no confirmation on its fuel economy. However it must have a much improved performance thatn its bigger brother as it will be lighter.
Suzuki has launched the Intruder M800 cruise bike in 12 Indian cities which include Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad. In its statement to the Press, Suzuki Motorcycle India has said : “ The Intruder M800 is more focused as an entry level cruiser segment which performs like its bigger brother (M1800) giving a chance to the Indian youth to step in to the world of performance biking."
Atul Gupta, vice-president (sales and marketing), Suzuki Motorcycle India, said: "Suzuki is known worldwide for superior technology; we intend to showcase the same in India. The launch of M800 is aimed at expanding our Big Bikes range in India."
