HM Begins Ambassador Exports To Bangladesh

Hindustan Motors had earlier stated that despite a steady decline in local sales its exports to countries such as Britain and Japan had increased over the years. Now a new country has been added to the list of countries importing the Ambassador. Hindustan Motors has launched the Ambassador in Bangladesh and will soon export the classic sedan the the neighbouring country.
The HM Ambassador seems to have a good image in Bangladesh with several enthusiasts reporting at the launch event of Hindustan Motors in Dhaka. Bangladesh has a high import tax on cars and the Ambassador will be priced between 1.550 million takas and 2.250 million takas. The Ambassador will be available with petrol, diesel and CNG powered engines.
HM has tied up with Intraco Motors of Bangladesh, who will be the official importer of the Ambassador. To make the car more suitable to the hot and humid weather of Bangladesh, HM has made air conditioning as a standard feature in all variants.
Hindustan Motors MD Manoj Jha has stated that the company would soon open a new production plant in Bangladesh in association with with the Bangladesh giant Intraco Motors. The company will make an investment of $10 million. The plant will initially build 1200 cars. But the company is planning to build 10,000 cars in three years.
