Mercedes CLS 350
The festive season is truly and officially here. With the number of new cars being launched within a span of one week carmakers are going on a rampage. The latest car to be launched in India is the new Mercedes-Benz CLS. The new CLS was launched at a glittering event at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 BlueEfficiency Avantgarde heralds a new beginning for the CLS in India. It gets several design updates which includes sharp LED headlights, restyled exterior panels and bolder grille. Another highlight of the new CLS is the use of LED lights both in the front headlights as well as in the rear tail lights. The new CLS looks attractive and imposing, a trait that all Mercedes-Benz customers look out for.

The CLS has the signature coupe like slating roof that might make tall passengers feel claustrophobic in the rear. On the Whole the new CLS has sufficient space for four passengers and a large luggage space in the rear.

This stylish four door saloon is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine capable of developing 306bhp at 6500rpm and 370Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission that delivers the engine's power to the rear wheels

The new Merc will face competition from the A7 Sportback and the BMW 5-Series GT. Analysts say the launch of the new CLS indicates another step of Mercedes-Benz in its attempt to regain its top spot in the Indian luxury car market.
