Fiat's First Cafe Taking Shape In Delhi

Carmakers are now trying to woo car buyers of all ages with varied marketing methods. The latest concept that has been imported from Europe is the cafe or lounge. Carmakers are establishing branded lounges to high light their cars as well as provide a boost to their images. Mercedes-Benz has already opened its lounge at Delhi.

Fiat India appears to be the next in line. The Italian carmaker after its decision to split is sales operations from Tata Motors has started working on its own cafe in New Delhi. This cafe to be named as the Fiat Caffe is located at 40-42, Janpath, near Connaught Place. Delhites can soon look forward to an evening at the Cafe surrounded by beautiful Fiat cars as well as the taste and flavours from Italy.

Fiat India intends to promote itself as well as Italian heritage through its cafe. Fiat's history, vintage models and racing history will also find place inside the Caffe. The cafe is currently under construction and is expected to be opened in January.

Once the Fiat Caffe is open, the Italian carmaker will get an opportunity to show case its image as a global carmaker. It has emerged as one of the top five carmakers in the world after taking over Chrysler. It is also the owner of sport car brands Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. With such a dominant position on the global auto scene, Fiat is still considered as the erstwhile manufacturer of the Fiat Padmini. The new cafe will help change that perception.
