Rs.1.25L Discount On New Fiesta: Unofficial Report
Ford started offering discounts on the new Fiesta within few months after its launch. Ford was not able to sell the Fiesta in expected numbers primarily because of the Fiesta"s high price. Several car buyers although impressed by the fiesta"s styling, interiors, features and performance were turned off by its price.
Ford is now trying to rectify this by offering a discount of Rs.75.000 on the Fiesta as well as the Fiesta classic. But the pressure of low sales appears to have hit Ford dealers had too. With increased competition from other mid sized sedans such as the Hyundai Verna Fluidic, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire and Honda City, ford dealers are now offering discounts up to Rs.1.25 lakhs.
Ford has not made any official announcement on the discount. It probably is localised offers from dealers. But if you do like the Fiesta and are not keen to buy it because of its price, we would suggest that you walk in to the closest Ford dealer so that you can at least get to know if there is a discount on the Fiesta that is as big as what is being reported to us.
The Ford Fiesta is available with both petrol and diesel engines and also has an option of being equipped with a manual or an automatic transmission According to reports coming in to Drivespark.com, this 1.5 lakh discount on the Fiesta is available only for the petrol variant. The petrol variant of the Fiesta is priced between Rs.8.23 lakhs and Rs.9.42 lakhs. The diesel variants are priced between Rs. 9.27 lakh and Rs.10.42 lakhs.
