Toyota Etios: Made For India Compact Sedan

The latest model to join the list of compact sedans sold in India is the Toyota Etios. This is the first car from the Japanese carmaker aimed at the volume selling segment of the car market. Toyota understood the market potential in India for a compact sedan that comes with the promise of reliability and developed the Etios compact sedan specifically for India.

The Etios sedan was launched amidst much fanfare and it has not disappointed both the carmaker as well as car buyers. Toyota has released just the petrol variants of the Etios so far. There have been reports of a diesel variants will be launched any time this September.

The Etios is currently available with four variants and is priced between Rs.5.5 lakhs and 7.84 lakhs. The fuel economy figures for the Etios are 11.8kmpl and 16.8kmpl for city and highways.

The Etios has been appreciated for its performance and interior finish. However, the exterior design can be considered a bit dull.
