Audi India Reports 35 Increase In October Sales

Over all sales for Audi India so far this year has increased by 85.09 per cent to 4,692 units. The carmaker had sold 2,535 units in the corresponding period last year.
Audi has said its unique blend of models and new model launches has helped it to boost sales. The carmaker owned by the Volkswagen Group is still in the third place below BMW and Mercedes-Benz. However it is posting improved growth rates compared to its competitors.
Speaking about Audi"s sales performance, its chief Michael Perschke said: “This year is shaping into, what we believe will be, Audi's most successful year in India to date. We attribute this growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull."
Audi which has launched six new models this year is planning to expand its dealer network. The carmaker is keen to increase its presence in India, particularly in the luxury sedan sector where market leader BMW has a strangle hold. Audi's Q7 and Q5 are still India's highest selling premium SUVs.
Audi can be said to be a beneficiary of free celebrity endorsements as several Bollywood celebrities such as John Abraham and Gul Panag buying Audis. Audi is set to beat its target of selling 5,000 cars this year.
