Mercedes-Benz Launches New C-Class At 29.79 Lakhs

We were long expecting the launch of the new 2012 C-Class as its global debut was held long tome back. The diesel engine of the premium sedan will offer Mercedes' Blueefficiency technology that reduces carbon emission and improves fuel economy. The diesel editions of the new C-Class will be available as the C200 CGI and the C250 CDI. The diesel engine can deliver 204bhp and 500Nm of torque.
As far as the petrol variants of the C-Class, the engine used is a 1.8-litre four cylinder engine that will generate 186bhp and 285Nm of torque. The petrol variant gets a seven speed manual gear box while buyers of the diesel will get a new five-speed automatic transmission.
Mercedes-Benz has made some subtle changes to the C-Class' exterior design. The headlights are new and the bumper has been redesigned. The rear end of the car remains unchanged apart from the new LED tail lights. The interior of the new C-Class gets anew dashboard design. Buyers can choose from four different interior leather colours.
What is not so subtle in the new Mercedes C-Class is the bundle of latest features it gets. The German premium carmaker has added the PARKTRONIC parking guidance system, Multi-functional steering wheel, Media Interface and ATTENTION ASSIST. Intelligent Headlights with washers are standard with LED daytime running lights and a panoramic sun-roof. New 17 inch alloys complete the exterior aesthetic package.
The 2012 C63 AMG, the sportier variant of the C-Class also gets an aggressive styling package. Powered by a huge 6.2-litre V8 capable of delivering 457bhp and 600Nm, the new C63 is equipped with a 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox.
