According to an official of Skoda, Yeti will offer smooth drive with rugged body as found in the European markets. The car has the concept of 'rough road package" slightly differing from the apex model, suitable for European conditions. Yeti will invite competitors from BMW through X1slated for launch in December. Both these SUVs are to perform on the idea of off-road as there are giants like Scorpio from M&M and Safari from Tata thereby making a growth of 22 percent (sale of 1.83 lakhs) in April-October 2010.
The sale increase in these model has been attributed to the buyers who happen to be in the age group of 32years, from the early average age of 39 years. The major advantage of these SUVs is the luxury and comfort coupled and it fits those who opt for a second car. Those who keep in mind the family size and off-road joy are certain to prefer these SUVs, said an auto consultancy expert.
