Hindustan Motors rolled out 2.3 Ton Winner XD 1.5 Commercial Vehicle

Rattan Singh, The Chief General manager, Sales & Marketing (vehicle) of Hindustan Motors ltd inaugurated the launch of Winner XD at the M/s Win Motors, Noothanchery. Win Motors will provide extra facility for servicing Ambassador and Winner vehicles in Chennai.
Winner XD is a 2.3 Ton GVW and is powered by a DSL, 4 Cylinder 1500 cc Engine mated to a 4 Forward & 1 Reverse Gear box, that gives optimum fuel efficiency, according to the company. The fuel tank capacity is 54 litres and the truck has got wider tyres for higher ground clearance and larger wheel base for bigger cargo box.
Apart from XD variant, Other variants in Diesel Winner will be HM - Shifeng Winner 1.5 XD DAC with cab, HM - Shifeng Winner 1.5 XD DAC with temporary cabin. Easy finance is available for the customers to buy Winner from nationalized banks like SBI, PNB & NBFCs.
According to Rattan Singh, Winner is the only first LCV in India compliant to BS-IV emission standard that too in CNG. 2009-2010 was a fruitful year for HM as Ambassador sales boosted by 50% in sales volume. Also, LCV market has improved at the rate of 12% which will continue to progress every year till 2014. Hence, HM will grab a considerable market share from the estimated growth of LCV from 2.4 lakh in 2010 to a proposed 4.5 lakh in 2014.
Owing to the popularity of Ambassador car in South India, HM is focusing on this region to strengthen its network and establish itself as a key commercial auto major in this part of the country.
According to added Surendhar Raj, Zonal head - South & West for Win Motors, government departments also have preferred offering over competitor make available in the market.
