Maruti Wagon R Duo LPG Sales Will Resume

Maruti has resumed the Wagon R old version with LPG option. According to Shashank Srivastava, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Chief General Manager (Marketing), Maruti will be selling 'Duo' and this variant will continue till the LPG variant of the new Wagon R is ready. 'Duo' was pushing nearly 20-22 percent of the total Wagon R sales which is currently as high as 12000 units per month.

The LPG variant, Wagon R Duo is priced at Rs 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Maruti's R&D has commenced the work for fitting LPG in the new Wagon R, the blue eyed boy and that the LPG variant will be available within this fiscal year itself.

Maruti is on the urge of launching five models of its cars fitted with CNG kit. The five models include Wagon R, Alto, Eeco, Estilo and Sx4. Also, Maruti will be launching a 1000 cc variant of Alto on August 4th. Maruti is keen on promoting its cars that can run with cheaper and less polluting alternate fuels like CNG and LPG.
