Volkswagen Vento's Price Starts At Rs. 6,99,000

Volkswagen has announced the prices of Vento. There are totally 5 variants of Vento and prices range between Rs. 6,99,000 to Rs. 9,23,000. The 1.6 L petrol variant trend line is priced at Rs. 6,99,000. The new Vento, which has been introduced in 1.6 L petrol and 1.6 L diesel variants, will hit the Indian roads from September 6, 2010 and will be available through all Volkswagen dealers. Vento is the company's 7th model in India.

According to VW Group Sales India Member of Board Neeraj Garg, the new Vento is an extension of Volkswagen's commitment towards the Indian consumers of providing the best quality products at competitive prices. Designed for the Indian market, it will be a strong addition to the company's product portfolio. Vento is manufactured in Volkswagen's Chakan plant which also produces Polo. Volkswagen Vento is offered in both manual as well as automatic transmission.

The German car maker brought out the Vento on July 6, 2010. The company had launched its hatchback Polo in the Indian market at Delhi ex-show room prices ranging between Rs 4.34- Rs 6.70 lakh in February this year. Volkswagen Vento will compete with Hyundai Verna Transform, Maruti Sx4, Fiat Linea and Honda City. Volkswagen is aspiring to become the largest car maker in the world. It is aggressively establishing its business in growing markets like India and South East Asia.
