Volkswagen Vento in October 2010
Now after the launch of honda which received a tremendous reception among the Indian hatchback buyers, the company has recently revealed sketches of Vento. The commercial production of Vento has begun in the VW factories of Pune.
VW Vento will join the C segment race where Honda City dominates. Although the pricing of Vento is yet to be disclosed, as per the marketing strategy an aggressive pricing between Rs. 9 - 10 lakhs range will provide an ample scope for Vento's success.
Vento will be powered by a 1.6 L petrol as well as diesel engines and produces 105 bhp peak power. Hackenberg, a member of the Volkswagen board mentioned that the Indian buying potential will make the company feed the domestic market first. The company is also eyeing on increasing its sales.
