Toyota Car
The last few months have brought unrest and bad news for Toyota. In October 2009 Toyota and Lexus vehicles were recalled due to floor mat problems. In November 2009 the recall increased to about 4.2 million vehicles. January 2010 saw Toyota vehicles being recalled due to pedal problems.

The series of recalls have ultimately resulted in the launch of US investigations into the complaints of steering problems in its Corolla model. The investigation is expected to be opened on Thursday and will involve an estimated 500,000 vehicles.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recieved morfe than 150 complaints regarding the steering problems in the year 2009-10.

Toyota is facing the second investigation regarding whether it was quick enough in recalling millions of cars over the problems involving accelarator peddles and brakes.
