Fortune Favours Fortuner Buyers!

TKM has announced that it will now take bookings from customers who wants to buy the SUV Fortuner from July 1st 2010. According to Sandeep Singh, TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing), the company will deliver the SUVs during October - December 2010. Customers are waiting for as long as 6 months to get their vehicles delivered by the Japanese auto maker. So far 8500 units of Fortuner are sold. The cost of Fortuner is Rs. 19.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

From, Jan 2010, Toyota stopped accepting bookings from the customers in order to first clear the backlog of 4000 Fortuners to be delivered for awaiting customers for which the company hopefully will deliver the vehicles by September 2010. Toyota produced 500 units then. But now, Toyota has increased the production of its Fortuner up to 950 units. This will help speed up the deliveries of Fortuner to the buyers. Toyota Fortuner is a mid-sized premium SUV launched in August 2009.
