Toyota Etios Booking Commence Next Month

The hot race is getting fueled with Toyota entering into the foray with its Etios, for which the booking is scheduled for next month. Toyota Etios was at the display at the Delhi Auto Expo this January and the venture will be with the assistance from the Indian giant Kirloskar.

Toyota has so far made a good stint with its range vehicles like Innova MUV and Fortuner SUV in addition to a range of Sedans. With the booking of Toyota Etios slated for next month, Toyota intends to deliver 65,000 units by next year. Toyota has planned to roll down the sedan version of Etios initially in this December to be followed by the compact version by March 2011. These information were deliberated by the MD for Toyota Kirloskar.

Toyota has allocated a sum of Rs3,200 crore for the increase of its second facility in Bangalore for delivering its small car and it will have the annual capacity of 70000 units. The MD said the target manufacturing units will be 1.5 lakh units of which 65000 will be of Toyota Etios next year adding that the second facility will be upgraded to 2 lakh units soon.

Toyota is depending on this Etios to increase the net volume of sale as the car is intended to feed the needs of the domestic customers. With the price yet to be finalized taking into account all the factors of the competitors, Toyota has romped home the celebrity aspect with AR Rahman as brand ambassador.
