Tata Planning New SUV In 2011
Tata has said that it would launch a new SUV and new pick-up truck based on the Aria platform. Tata is also believed to be working on exporting Aria to many countries. “We are looking to export the Aria to the SAARC countries and South Africa, followed by Europe. This product should perk up the image of our capabilities." Mr S.G. Saksena, Head, UV Unit, Tata Motors, said.
Tata's SUV market has grown 21 per cent to 1.54 lakh units for the April-September period this year. Tata Motors' share in the segment has grown 22 per cent to 19,000 units in the same period, which he hoped would get a significant push from the Aria.
