Tata Nano Super Drive Ended In Mumbai

The cars split up as 3 different teams named as "Saffron Route", 'White Route" and 'Green Route", keeping with the theme of the country-wide drive.Saffron route covered North India and the 3 Nano cars visited Udaipur, Jaipur, Hisar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Meerut, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gwalior, Kota. On the White route, the cars travelled from central to east India, visiting Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Patna, Kolkata, Bhubneshwar, Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Aurangabad.
The Green route saw cars cover west and south India, visiting cities like Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolhapur, Solapur, Nashik and Ahmedabad.
Tata Nano cars were traffic-stoppers as they visited the famous landmarks in the cities covered under the route. The Super drive included the prospective customers to have hands on experience before buying their Nanos and also, the company has planned to celebrate the car's first year with a ceremony for Nano owners in every city.
Tata Nano is the segment setter as many more car makers are keen on entering this entry car segment with new products. Nano is the world's cheapest car and has been awarded and recognised throughout the world for its frugal engineering and mass appeal.
Nano can be booked from August 2010 through any Tata showroom and "now you can" drive the car in a couple of days after booking yours! Thanks to the Sanand plant which has the capacity to produce 2.5 lakh Nano cars per annum.
This has helped the Tata Motors to clear up the pending deliveries and also to get ready for "out of shelves" booking from August 2010. But will there by changes in Nano's prices owing to the rise in cost of raw materials like rubber and steel?
