Nano for all from August 2010 - no need for booking in advance!
Last week, the Sanand plant in Gujarat which is the second plant producing Tata Nano started to roll out the Nano cars and this will help the Tata Motors for fast delivery of Nanos.
After its launch in March 2009, Tata Motors received around 1.5 lakhs bookings and people were selected based on a random pick and Nano cars were dispatched to the customers in two batches.
The first batch received their cars during the June-September 2009 and the second batch is receiving the cars now. So far more than 34000 Nano cars are running in Indian roads.
Initially, Nano cars were produced in the Uttarkand's Pantnagar plant and with the capacity of 2.5 lakhs units of Nano to be produced in Sanand plant, Nano will flood the Indian market in the coming months!
