Tata Motors Registeres 41% Growth
30,165 units of passenger vehicles have been sold in July 2010 which inclued 20,438 units of Tata and 2301 units from Fiat. When compared to the 19,881 units of Tata cars, that included 2,690 Fiat cars in July last year, this is a 52% raise in sales. The major factor that fuels the growth of Tata's passenger cars is the sales of Tata Nano which accounted for 9000 units. The Indica models sales stood at 8,606 while the SUVs (Sumo/Safari) range sales were 3,251 units.
The commercial vehicles in July 2010 in the domestic market constituted to 35,694 units which is again a respectable 26% increase over July 2009. Among the commercial vehicles M&HCV sales were at 15,256, an increase of 43% while the LCV sales were 20,438, a growth of 15%.
Tata Motors' luxury brand, Jaguar Land Rover has also witnessed good sales growth. With respect to exports, Tata Motors have registered 73% increase to 4,241 in July 2010 as against 2,455 units in July 2009.
Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 249,507 till date, a growth of 46 per cent over 171,168 sold last year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 16,484 nos. are higher by 115 per cent over 7,676 nos. in the same period last year.
